Winfield Middle School Open House will be Thursday, August 5 from 5:00-6:30. Fifth grade student and parent orientation will be at 6:00 in the Winfield Middle School lunchroom.

We encourage all of our students in 6th grade to sign up to join band in 7th grade. Our students consistently earn college scholarships and participate in college bands. We also have opportunities to travel and learn new things. We have many students who participate in football, basketball, track, volleyball, cross country and other activities. There will be no conflicts with P.E. or athletics and band will be a full class period.
All 6th graders interested in joining band need to let us know as soon as possible. You may call Winfield Middle School (487-6901), the band room (487-3373 and leave a message) or e-mail us at jrainey@winfieldal.org. Make sure you give us the student’s name when you call. More information will be distributed at the start of school or upon request. We look forward to having you as part of the Winfield Pirate Band Program!!!
Athletic Banquet 2010

Who: For all 7th and 8th Grade Athletes
What: Meal, Player Certificate, and Recognition
Every Athlete that plans to attend needs to have this form signed by a parent or guardian and returned to the office by Friday, May 7th. Our meal will include: Chicken Fingers, Cole Slaw, Macaroni & Cheese, Baked Beans, Rolls, and a Drink. Tickets for the meal are on sale in the office for $8.00. Please purchase tickets by Friday May 7th. Athletes eat FREE!
*Due to the lunchroom capacity, we ask that each athlete bring know more than 2 guest please.

Winfield Toybowl will play in the first round of playoffs at Hackelburg this Saturday (Oct. 31) beginning at 1:00.

The Blazer Animal Show will be at Winfield Middle School on Friday, September 4 at 9:40 in the middle school gym. Admission will be $3.00.
It will take place on Wednesday, September 9th at 8:00AM in the Middle School Lunchroom. If you are unable to attend the morning meeting, there will be another meeting, Thursday Night, September 10th at 6:00PM in the Middle School Lunchroom.
Please make plans to attend one of the meetings. We will be available to answer questions that you may have and explain more about Title I services. See you at the meeting!
